Our Partnership with Helping Assist With Melis
At Pure Rebel, our mission goes beyond grooming products. We believe in using our platform to uplift people and support organizations that are making a real difference in our communities.
Our connection with Helping Assist With Melis began way before Pure Rebel ever became a brand.
In early 2023, Pure Rebel founder Ashley connected with Melissa and volunteered at one of the organization’s first outreach events, offering free haircuts to individuals experiencing homelessness. That experience was incredibly impactful and reinforced the belief that something as simple as a haircut can restore confidence, dignity, and a sense of identity.
Using barbering as a way to serve others and support people facing difficult circumstances helped shape the purpose behind Pure Rebel.
Today, that mission continues.
With every Pure Rebel purchase, a portion of proceeds helps support Helping Assist With Melis and her outreach efforts serving individuals experiencing homelessness and addiction recovery.
About Helping Assist With Melis
Helping Assist With Melis is a nonprofit organization founded by Melissa Verge-Loutas with the mission of uplifting individuals facing hardship and helping them realize their worth and potential for a better life.
Through community outreach and volunteer support, the organization provides essential resources to individuals experiencing homelessness, addiction, and other life challenges.
Their outreach efforts include providing:
• Professional haircuts by licensed barbers and cosmetologists to restore dignity and confidence
• Nutritious meals for individuals and families experiencing food insecurity
• Clothing and personal necessities for those in need
• Peer recovery support and compassionate outreach for individuals working to rebuild their lives
Her mission is rooted in compassion, unity, and creating a safe environment where people feel supported, valued, and empowered.
